Take in the Beauty of the Río Celeste River in Costa Rica

The Río Celeste vibrant blue color. This otherworldly hue is caused by a chemical reaction between sulfur and calcium carbonate in water, resulting in a turquoise blue color that appears almost unreal.

A legend tells that after the gods were done painting the sky, they washed the brushes in the river that now receive the name of Rio Celeste (Light Blue River).

Includes:

Nice drive through Costar Rican roads we reach the parkentries to start the hike through this primary Humid Forest, where we can find exuberant flora in their natural ecosystem, during this walk we visit a magnificent waterfall, the place where the river dies with the light blue coloration, natural water springs (swimming is not allowed).

After the hike we go for lunch in a farm where will walk looking for wildlife to find the jewel of the tropical forests, the Sloth! This second walk would allow us to look for more wildlife and learn about their habitat and more!

What to bring:

Extra changing clothes, tennis shoes, camera, hat, sunscreen, bug spray.

What we love:

The vibrant blue color of the Rio Celeste, caused by a chemical reaction between sulfur and calcium carbonate in the water, creating a turquoise blue that seems almost unreal.
