Location
Playas del Coco is a small fishing village turned perfect tourist destination in the last decade. While not a surfing destination itself, the lagoon type beach makes it an ideal spot for enjoying the calm waters and the horseshoe shaped beach that is dotted with small bars and restaurants. There is a single main road through town complete with a variety of dining areas and quite a lively music and bar seen in the evening. Playas del Coco is approximately a 30 minute drive from the Liberia Airport.

Villa Vista Bahia is a stunning oasis! You won't believe the ocean view, it has to be seen to be believed. We just love coming here! The views from the pool are incredible. We grab a cool beer from the pool mini fridge, lie on the lounger and enjoy the view. The management company was great. They organized an airport shuttle for us and organized tours for us. Our favourite things to do in Playas del Coco was to do the chocolate making class at Cata Chocolate, to go to Diamante Eco Park and to go scuba diving with Rocket Frog Divers in Papayago.
Playas del Coco is a gem and this is the best place to stay! Villa Vista Bahia is right beside the beach and right beside Pacifico Beach Club and Mar Azul restaurants. Can’t recommend this place more highly, it’s so private and relaxing!

For a Feb 2024 vacation:
Staying at Villa Bahia Bastia was such a wonderful experience. Located just high enough up the hills to have amazing views but also easy to walk. This 3 bedroom house with attached apartment was just perfect for our vacation. Bedrooms are spacious, master bed and bath are luxurious. The infinity pool and raised pool deck were awesome. Such a great place to catch the sunset everyday. There's an unobstructed view of the ocean from the house and the sunsets are incredible! I loved hanging out on the house patio in the mornings with a coffee listening to the birds and watching the howler monkeys. There was enough space in the house that it was always comfortable no matter how busy it got.
The house is located in a gated community about 10 minutes from town(walking). It's very quiet, clean and has wonderful landscaping. A few nights we were there the gardeners came from 7-10 pm, but they didn't use any power tools, just watered and tidied up. It's hot in the middle of the day so I don't blame them for working later. The Zindis staff were very helpful and available. They gave us numbers to text them on WhatsApp and they responded quickly and whenever I texted. Helped answer questions about the house, about dinning options, or rentals and excursions. Excellent service.
I'm looking forward to our next trip to Costa Rica and for staying again at Villa Bahia Bastia. Pura Vida!

Even after seeing the pictures, we were still blown away when we got there. The panoramic views were insane, just sitting on the balcony having a coffee every morning I was shaking my head at how amazing it was. The location is excellent, the amenities are incredible. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean is just the cherry on top. You definitely want to stay here
