The Neighborhood:  Playa Hermosa is a small village with one of the safest and most calm beaches in Costa Rica.  There you will find and ample amount of restaurants and sodas plus a small grocery store and pharmacy. A soda is a small Costa Rican  family run  restaurant with fresh  home cooked food at reasonable prices. About 15 minutes away is Playas del Coco.  In Coco, there are many restaurants, bars, shops, casinos, banks, and four grocery stores.  Getting Around:  Taxis are available; however we strongly suggest you rent a car due to limited availability of taxi service in the area. Things To Do: Playas del Coco and Playa Hermosa both offer an abundance of water sports such as snorkelling, fishing, kayaking and surfing tours that leave right from the beach. Local adventure activities for the whole family, including zip-line canopy tours above the tropical forest, estuary excursions, horseback riding, volcanoes, hot springs and waterfalls are all within an hour's drive. Grill pool–side, cook in the gourmet kitchen or eat out at one of the many excellent restaurants in town or on the beach.
