The Neighborhood: Playa Hermosa is a small village with one of the safest and most calm beaches in Costa Rica.There you will find and ample amount of restaurants and sodas plus a small grocery store and pharmacy. A soda is a small Costa Rican family run restaurant with fresh home cooked food at reasonable prices. About 15 minutes away is Playas del Coco. In Coco, there are many restaurants, bars, shops, casinos, banks, and four grocery stores.
Space
Located directly on the beach in Playa Hermosa, only 20 minutes from the Liberia Airport. This villa is part of a one of a kind luxury beach complex, Sol y Mar. Rentals on the beach in Costa Rica are difficult to find and at best rarely modern and new. Here you have the best of all worlds. Newly constructed and completed in 2007, these luxury villas are 2400 sq ft with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Only the finest materials were used in the construction.
There are only 12 total units in the complex thereby assuring the discriminating renter the exclusive resort atmosphere unavailable in other complexes. At your door step you will find one of Costa Rica’s finest ‘Blue Flag’ beaches. One mile long, Playa Hermosa is rarely crowded. There are plenty of water activities to keep you busy. PLEASE don’t forget that Hermosa is the closest beach community to 3 National Parks and the Arenal Volcano. Sol y Mar is a one of a kind rental property providing you and your companions a vacation to remember!
The beach is 90 feet away. Soundproof construction assures the renter of undisturbed privacy while inside the villa. There is a large terrace to enjoy the views, have a meal while cooking on the built-in stainless steel grill. The pool’s complex is two tiered with water cascading from one level to the other. The pool offers unobstructed views of the Bay of Hermosa and the greatest sunsets that you will ever see.
A dozen restaurants, several within a few minutes walk, can be found in Playa Hermosa.

We had an absolutely lovely family vacation at the 3B unit at Sol and Mar property. The property is beautifully maintained and very comfortable. The location is great and it was suitable for different age groups in our family. Wonderful swimming in the calm ocean waters, great 1 mile beach walk immediately out of the gate, lovely pool. Walking distance to a few restaurants and quick grocery shopping. The staff is super responsive and very friendly, we all appreciated their help! We truly enjoyed our time in Costa Rica at Playa Hermosa and we hope to come back! Many thanks!🙏❣️🙏

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sol Y Mar in Playa Hermosa. The condo was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 sons (age 14 and 11). The condo was very roomy with 3 beds/3 bath, the kitchen was wonderful to cook in, and the deck overlooking the pool and through to the beach was fantastic and very relaxing for morning coffee and happy-hours at sunset. The pool was great and the location right on the beach was amazing. The beach was quiet, the water warm to swim in, and there are several great restaurants in walking distance. Gus from Zindis greeted us at the condo, was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and very helpful with local recommendations. We are already planning our next trip to Sol Y Mar in Playa Hermosa.
