Neighborhood
Although its location may make the Blue Flag village of Playa Hermosa feel somewhat isolated, the small but well-developed town offers many amenities. Playa Hermosa, which translates to Beautiful Beach, is located in northern Guanacaste Province. Keep in mind that Costa Rica has several beaches named Playa Hermosa, including near Jaco, Santa Teresa, and Uvita, but the one where this lovely home is located is in Guanacaste. The Liberia International is the closest airport, at about 30 minutes away.

This absolutely fabulous custom ocean-view home overlooks the Blue Flag beach of Playa Hermosa. With a total renovation completed in 2020, this beauty allows you to be as active as you can imagine on a Costa Rica vacation, or relax thoroughly poolside or ocean in a setting you’ll never forget. From the custom design pool, you will be charmed by the views of overlooks two bays, that of Playa Hermosa and of Playa Panama. The spacious outdoor patio and terrace will allow you to enjoy the magnificent tropical environment in comfort. The BBQ Grill located poolside along with a well-appointed outdoor dining set allow you to enjoy the best of dining alfresco. Should you wish to hire someone to prepare local delicacies in the gourmet kitchen or eat out at one of the many excellent restaurants in town or on the beach, feel free to contact our in-house concierge to assist with your culinary wishes.

Beautiful Hermosa Beach is spread out before you, which offers snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, and surfing tours that leave right from the beach. Local adventure activities for the whole family, including zip-line canopy tours above the tropical forest, estuary excursions, horseback riding, volcanoes, hot springs and waterfalls are all within an hour’s drive.
*Upon the development of the community of Hermosa Heights, there are some houses under construction near this property. Please note that we recommend to have a 4×4 vehicle to access this rental home.*

Excellent place to relax. Amazing view. Fast communication with the host. Close to grocery stores and restaurants. Be sure to ask them about a private chef one night, ask for Andrew Marchena for dinner. Incredible food prepared from scratch, cooked and served on site. We have been all a round the world and this was one of the best places we have stayed.

The house was everything we expected and more. The pictures can’t do the living space and view justice. Very private with plenty of space. We had 9 people and there was plenty of space to hangout. The kitchen is fully stocked to cook some meals or there a bunch of restaurants right at the bottom of the hill. We used Uber to get around, which was very reasonably priced but can be hit or miss to get a ride. I would definitely recommend getting at least one rental car to do grocery runs, but it is a steep climb up the hill so you are going to want a mid sized SUV to make the hike. Bryan was our Zindis representative and he was extremely helpful and responsive to plan and book all the excursions we wanted and helped to provide plenty of recommendations. I would highly suggest doing the Best Day in Guanacaste or the Sunset Boat Cruise. Ten out of ten would recommend booking this trip!

Sunset Ridge house was amazing and better than expected! Zindis did such a great job communicating with us every step of the way and was extremely helpful and responsive. Concierge service was outstanding! The views at this home are breathtaking!! Best house around!
