Playa Ocotal and Playas del Coco are a small fishing village turned perfect tourist destination in the last decade. While not a surfing destination itself, the lagoon type beach makes it an ideal spot for enjoying the calm waters and the horseshoe shaped beach that is dotted with small bars and restaurants. There is a single main road through town complete with a variety of dining areas and quite a lively music and bar seen in the evening. This location is approximately a 45 minutes drive from the Liberia Airport.

- Take a dip in one of several ponds formed by beautiful waterfalls within easy driving distance
- Sample the variety of each of the three nearby beaches—Ocotal, Coco and Hermosa—or take a surf lesson at the world-famous Tamarindo beach
- Have a local chef come to the Villa and prepare an authentic Costa Rican meal

The view is beautiful, the house is large and fit 10 of us comfortably! Lots of shops just down the street, many options for groceries and local food as well. Must have a car to get around, as this house is at the top of a mountain. We enjoyed our time here and would return again! Our host Alex was very responsive throughout the 12 days we here. If something was wrong he sent someone to fix it immediately. The pool was cleaned twice and the grounds were landscaped twice as well during our time. The house is equipped with all linens needed, extra beach towels, toiletries and all cooking supplies we needed to make Christmas Dinner and more.
